Position Overview

The Events Print Producer at Midnight Oil will act as the primary point of contact for overall project planning and production in support of location-based events and may work in close coordination with activation partners (either internal or external) to execute programs. This role will support activations in venues large and small around the Los Angeles area (Dodger Stadium, Coliseum, Hollywood Bowl, etc.) or elsewhere. Activations can include up to 50 venues for an overall event.

Responsibilities

  • Act as primary point of contact for planning and design/production for all venue assets.
  • Attend all venue walkthroughs, take additional photography of venues as needed, meet with external partners, including venue key contact.
  • Experience and comfort level required in speaking to suggestions and advisement during event space walkthroughs for what is and is not possible.
  • Experience taking space measurements on site and incorporate into venue specifications decks as needed
  • Familiarize yourself with similar previous events, activations and venues by reviewing available documents and/or links from prior activations to garner general understanding of past events, to successfully execute programs in both repeat and new locations. Our largest event for 2026 will include 50 major locations and up to 100 pop ups. 
  • Update venue documents to reflect the latest specifications and assets for each.
  • Extreme organization required: Create and manage a spreadsheet of all items needing to be created/produced for every venue with timelines required to produce.
  • Provide specs and information required to the Creative PM to develop assets, and Production PM to produce assets for venues.
  • Management of daily and weekly calls throughout planning stages, including review of the event deck and touching base with relevant creative and production project managers as needed. (note: the Creative PM will manage and route creative deck to clients for feedback/approvals)
  • Provide timelines to client and internal teams for all reviews, approvals, and production deadlines.
  • Partner with the Creative PM who will manage the design development and repurposing of brand assets/style guide for internal and external print and physical branding, to be shown and maintained in a branding overview event deck including insitu renders (via Google Slides).  (note: the Creative PM will manage and route creative deck to clients for feedback/approvals)
  • Orchestrate pickup, diagnosis and repair/touch up/repaint of existing structural branding elements to be reused in this year’s festival.
  • Orchestrate and support installation of all items at events, including fabricated elements, to include install and breakdown with necessary transfer from venue to v
  • Partner with MO production team to manage/update budgeting for production of all approved elements for each venue. 
  • Manage budgeting of installation at each venue, including those that are required to be installed by union reps.
  • Manage any experiential elements, branding additions or union fees to be pre-approved by clients.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION
• Bachelor’s degree
• 7 to 10 years of experience in an equivalent or similar role
• Management of large projects on tight deadlines and budget.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION
• Working knowledge of Airtable, Excel, and Google docs a plus

• Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including collaboration and team building. Ability to influence without authority.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interface with creative, production and fabrication teams to manage all project details and deliverables.
• Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view. Able to calibrate to client brand/campaign nuances and changes.
• Ability to digest and interpret - Creative Renders, PO’s, Pricing Grids, Compliance Documents
• Manufacturing and Production experience – Knowledge of Large Format Printing (UV, Conventional, Digital), Lithographic Printing, Engineering, Fabrication and Fulfillment.
• Working knowledge of Airtable, Slack, Excel, Google docs a plus

Pay Statement

USD $90,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
